Job Description

Summary

The Reconstruction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of construction projects from start to finish. They ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage construction projects, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence
  • Manage customer relationships and expectations
  • Evaluate and sell projects to clients
  • Create and manage project budgets
  • Develop and review project estimates
  • Negotiate project scope and terms with clients
  • Collect deposits and draws from clients
  • Schedule and coordinate project resources, including technicians, subcontractors, and material suppliers
  • Develop and manage project schedules and timelines
  • Conduct quality assurance activities and resolve issues
  • Document and review project files to support services provided
  • Maintain communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure all work performed complies with plans, specifications, local codes, and requirements
  • Compile and resolve punch list items
  • Perform final walk-through with clients
  • Secure signed Certificates of Completion and Satisfaction
  • Manage project expenses and assist in collecting final payment
  • Negotiate with service providers to secure better prices
  • Manage warranty activities
  • Ensure proper permits are acquired
  • Identify and qualify subcontractors and resource providers
  • Manage project assets, including equipment, tools, and materials
  • Follow and oversee safe work practices and adherence to safety and risk management guidelines
  • Develop and maintain relationships with company vendors and contractors
  • Perform other job duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Excellence in building rapport and creating a team environment
  • Ability to maintain a high level of organization and ensure daily job allocation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer software
  • Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs
  • Conflict-resolution skills
  • Demonstrated ability to welcome feedback and use it to improve quality of production
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Project management skills, including time management, project budgeting, resource management, and project scheduling
  • Excellence in planning and problem-solving

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

  • Walking and/or standing throughout the day
  • Frequent driving and sitting
  • Occasional climbing of ladders
  • Occasional exposure to extreme conditions, such as heat
  • Loud noise levels at individual job sites
