Job Summary:

Della Infotech is seeking a detail-oriented Project Management Specialist to join our team. As a Project Management Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating project activities, monitoring progress, and maintaining stability within project-oriented work efforts.

This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who is ready to contribute to the company's IT initiatives by implementing project management processes and methodologies that will have a direct impact on the efficiency and success of the organization's projects.

The role will engage in medium-sized projects that are moderately complex, working closely with project teams under the direction of a senior project or program manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure overall coordination, stability, and status reporting of project-oriented work efforts.
  • Maintain project schedules, track milestones, and ensure that projects are progressing as planned.
  • Establish and implement project management processes and methodologies for the IT department to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and adhere to high-quality standards.
  • Assemble project plans, define project scope, and assign tasks to team members.
  • Direct and monitor the daily work efforts of project teams, identifying resource needs, and performing quality reviews to ensure deliverables meet project requirements.
  • Identify and escalate functional, quality, and timeline issues as they arise, ensuring they are addressed promptly.
  • Adjust project plans and resources to meet the evolving needs of customers and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with various departments and teams to manage project resources effectively.
  • Ensure that communication is maintained across all areas of the enterprise that impact the project's scope, budget, risk, and resources.
  • Assist Project Managers and Program Managers in identifying and prioritizing opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve the goals of the enterprise.
  • Provide support in managing more complex, cross-functional projects when needed.

Requirements:

  • Intermediate professional level, typically responsible for managing one or more small to medium-sized, moderately complex projects.
  • Experience in leading, assigning, and tracking project results is essential.
  • Must possess advanced knowledge and proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, including resource management practices and change management techniques.
  • Familiarity with standard project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA) is required.
  • Strong ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Able to maintain clear and consistent communication across all project phases.
  • Ability to identify potential project risks and issues early, and to adapt plans to mitigate them.
  • Capable of working under general direction and adjusting to changing project demands.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with project management in a government or public sector environment.
  • Familiarity with IT project management tools and practices specific to state or local government.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Must have active PMP certification.

Additional Information:

While the not-to-exceed rate is set at BR/hr, the hiring manager intends to align the position with a merit conversion salary rate and seeks candidates at a maximum BR of BR/hr.

The preferred range is 70-75/hr as the NTE BR.
