Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to serve as a Financial Clearance Representative at Northern Montana Health Care. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for interviewing patients to collect and verify demographic and financial data prior to their scheduled day of service.

About the Role: In this role, you will also be responsible for securing required payment or making necessary financial arrangements. You must ensure HIPAA standards are adhered to and followed in accordance with facility policy, and compliance with government and NMHC procedures is paramount.

Responsibilities:

  • Interview patients to collect and verify pertinent demographic and financial data
  • Secure required payment or make necessary financial arrangements
  • E nsure HIPAA standards are adhered to and followed
  • Maintain compliance with government and NMHC procedures

Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years healthcare office experience, registration and supervision experience
  • Experience with Windows application systems and some Microsoft Office (Excel preferred)
  • Professional demeanor and excellent public relations skills
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to effectively calm patients and deal with distressed and/or agitated patients
  • Advanced medical terminology and health insurance

Salary and Benefits: The salary for this position is approximately $62,000 per year, commensurate with up to ten years of experience. Health, dental, life, disability and FLEX/HSA benefits are available, along with 403(b) options.
