Job Title: Pastry Cook

At Legends, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pastry Cook to join our team. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for the quality and consistency of all pastry products produced and served in our restaurants and stadiums.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement new desserts and creative menu developments in collaboration with the Executive Chef.
  • Ensure that all pastry products meet company standards for quality, presentation, and consistency.
  • Assist with the development of standardized recipes for all menu items and ensure that recipes are accurate and updated as needed.
  • Manage the Pastry Department and bakery areas, ensuring that they are clean, organized, and safe for employees and guests.
  • Train and mentor junior staff members to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor and control costs associated with the pastry department, including labor, ingredients, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement new menu items and promotions.
  • Ensure that all food products prepared meet the established specifications and standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve production and service methods, equipment performance, and quality control.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a fine dining restaurant environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume preparation environment.
  • Ability to work extended hours, including late nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift/move/maneuver up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to remain on feet for entire length of shift.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Fully competent in all aspects of baking and pastry.
  • Ability to define a problem, collect data, establish facts, and form conclusions.
  • Ability to understand complex instructions and material.
  • Ability to mentally process abstract ideas while delivering results.
