Job Summary:
The Pastry Cook is a key member of our culinary team, responsible for creating high-quality pastry products that exceed our guests' expectations. As a Pastry Cook, you will work closely with our Executive Chef to develop new desserts and menu items, ensuring that our pastry department is always at the forefront of innovation and excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of pastry products, including breads, pastries, and desserts, to meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Work closely with the Executive Chef to develop new recipes and menu items, ensuring that they are innovative, delicious, and meet the needs of our guests.
- Lead and motivate a team of pastry cooks, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
- Ensure that all pastry products are prepared and presented in a clean and safe environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring that we have the necessary ingredients and supplies to meet our production needs.
- Collaborate with other departments, including front-of-house and kitchen staff, to ensure that our pastry products are delivered to the highest standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a fine dining restaurant environment.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a high-volume preparation environment.
- Ability to work extended hours, including late nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift/move/maneuver up to 50 lbs.
- Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.
