About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Head Start Teacher to join our team at the Connecticut Institute for Communities, Inc. in Danbury. As an Infant/Toddler Early Head Start Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education and care to infants and toddlers aged 6 weeks to 3 years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement weekly lesson plans that promote social, physical, and intellectual growth in a classroom of 8 infants or 8 toddlers.
  • Collaborate with a co-teacher to support the development of each child.
  • Work closely with a classroom aid and a Family Advocate to provide comprehensive support to students and families.
  • Participate in curriculum support and coaching from education coaches to ensure the highest quality of care.
  • Utilize LENA technology to enhance language development in infants and toddlers.
  • Communicate child routines with parents through Procare Software and Remind messaging.
Requirements
  • CDA Certification or 12 College Credits in Early Childhood Education (Required)
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Psychology (Preferred)
  • Must be vaccinated against Covid-19, or be willing to get vaccinated prior to start (Required)
  • Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged.
