Job Title: Recreation Services Coordinator

Estimated Salary:$18.00 per hour

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Recreation Services Coordinator. This is a seasonal position that will work closely with the Parks and Recreation Department to provide exceptional customer service to the community.

About the Position:

  • Assist customers in person, over the telephone, and via the internet.
  • Process rentals and reservations of park shelters, fields, and other facilities.
  • Prepare permits, contracts, and supporting documents.
  • Create and maintain booking calendars for various facilities.
  • Collect and process a high volume of monies, including registration and facility use payments, and program registrations.
  • Process Summer Camp paperwork, including immunization records.
  • Utilize various computer hardware and software packages, including word processing and database applications.
  • Compile, prepare, enter, and update data from various sources.
  • Maintain customer accounts and activity/course information.
  • Prepare mass mailings, flyers, and brochures.
  • Perform other accounting and clerical functions as required.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of two years of increasingly responsible customer service experience, both in person and on the phone.
  • Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.
  • Great customer service skills.
  • Ability to accurately calculate, record, and balance assigned transactions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and learn the operations, services, and activities of the Parks and Recreation Department.

  • Parks & Recreation Benefits: Seasonal employees are eligible for Aquatics benefits if they work an average of 10 hours per week.
  • Paid Time Off: Seasonal employees working more than 1040 hours in the previous season accrue eight (8) hours of PTO at the beginning of their second season and accrue eight (8) additional hours with each season worked, up to a maximum of 40 hours.
