Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and organized Arts Education Assistant Manager to support our arts education programs in Staten Island schools. The ideal candidate will have a passion for arts education and be able to work collaboratively with schools and teaching artists to enhance students' learning experiences through the arts.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and implement arts education programs that meet the needs of schools and students
- Collaborate with teaching artists to design and deliver engaging arts education programs
- Manage program logistics, including scheduling and supply ordering
- Attend in-school programs and evaluate their effectiveness
- Assist in implementing arts curricula and developing new program ideas
- Seek out new teaching artists and schools to partner with
- Attend arts education workshops and meetings to stay up-to-date on best practices
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Strong organizational and management skills, with ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated and collaborative, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with NYC DOE is a plus
- Good understanding of arts education principles and practices
- Competitive salary: $52,000/year
