POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for defining, developing, and supervising the execution of innovative manufacturing processes, particularly for connectors and cable assemblies. This role focuses on enhancing existing processes while ensuring high standards of product quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with industry regulations.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties are essential to this position:
- Lead and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure readiness of manufacturing cells for new product and process introductions, including PFMEA, FLOW, STANDARD, ROUTING, and SAFETY.
- Provide clear and concise project updates to leadership, demonstrating measurable progress.
- Employ effective DMAIC methodologies and A3 problem-solving techniques.
- Conduct Kaizen events based on thorough analysis of cell KPIs.
- Sustain improved processes through ongoing evaluation and reporting.
- Collaborate with cell operators, engineering teams, and management to address project requirements and status updates.
- Develop and document comprehensive electronic and manual work instructions.
- Design, implement, and enhance manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Create and maintain a CAPEX plan to address current and future manufacturing needs.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing principles, including VSM, setup reduction, flow improvement, and waste elimination.
- Validate and implement new equipment and processes, including the development of validation plans.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve manufacturing challenges while providing technical support.
- Analyze production trends to formulate improvement strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
- A minimum of three years of related experience or training, or a combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in technical writing and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of Lean methodologies and Six Sigma tools for problem-solving.
- Familiarity with digital factory connectivity and the ability to produce publishable articles adhering to established styles.

- Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to apply concepts such as probability, statistics, and geometry to practical scenarios.
- Capable of defining problems, gathering data, and drawing valid conclusions.
- Self-motivated with effective time and project management skills.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment typically involves:
- Regular interaction with moving mechanical parts and occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
- Moderate noise levels, with limited travel requirements.
