Job Summary

MedStar Health is seeking a highly skilled Senior Registered Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team at Washington Hospital Center. As a key member of our cardiovascular team, you will be responsible for assisting physicians with routine and complex invasive diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac and vascular procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians with invasive procedures, including cardiac catheterizations and percutaneous transluminal angioplasties
  • Prepare and maintain equipment, including catheters, balloons, and guiding wires
  • Monitor patients during procedures and provide physical and psychological comfort
  • Enter patient data into the computer and connect electrocardiograph and pulse oximeter monitors
  • Perform quality assurance on laboratory equipment and report malfunctions
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a Cardiovascular Technologist training program and/or related college level education
  • 5 years of experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist
  • RCIS certification with CCI or R.T.(R)(CI) registration
  • BLS and ACLS certification
