Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Anatomy and Physiology Adjunct Instructor to join our team at Delta College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching anatomy and physiology courses in traditional classroom and/or blended/hybrid settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans to maximize student learning and retention.
  • Establish and promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student engagement and success.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and technologies to engage students and promote active learning.
  • Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback to students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and instructional strategies.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in biology or a related field with relevant coursework or a professional degree in the medical field with relevant coursework.
  • Teaching experience at the community college level, preferably in anatomy and physiology.
  • Ability to teach in a variety of formats, including online and blended/hybrid settings.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Recent experience in teaching anatomy and physiology in an active learning environment.
  • Experience with curriculum development and instructional design.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse and inclusive environment.
