Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Anatomy and Physiology Adjunct Instructor to join our team at Delta College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching anatomy and physiology courses in traditional classroom and/or blended/hybrid settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans to maximize student learning and retention.
  • Establish and promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student engagement and success.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods and technologies to deliver instruction and assess student learning.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and instructional strategies.
Requirements
  • Mastery of anatomy and physiology subject matter and ability to teach in a variety of formats.
  • Master's degree in biology or a related field, or a professional degree in the medical field with relevant coursework.
  • Teaching experience at the community college level, preferably in anatomy and physiology.
  • Ability to work with a diverse student population and promote a culture of belonging, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Recent experience in teaching anatomy and physiology in an active learning environment.
  • Ability to teach online or hybrid courses.
  • Experience with curriculum development and instructional design.
