As a Class A CDL Yard Jockey, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics operations. Your expertise in navigating our facilities and managing equipment will be essential in delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and routers to coordinate truck and trailer assignments
  • Maintain assigned equipment in good working condition
  • Move trailers between buildings as directed by routers or warehouse supervisors
  • Load, unload, or merge loads between environments
  • Stage shuttle trailers nightly for shuttle drivers
  • Set up trailers for backhaul with tractor and empty pallets
  • Place backhauls in correct door to be unloaded by warehouse
  • Ensure all equipment is paired and ready for next day's deliveries
  • Collaborate with mechanics to maintain equipment
  • Attend all required company meetings
Requirements:
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 20 to 80+ pounds of product repetitively during each shift
  • Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions
  • Valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
  • Minimum of six months commercial driving experience preferred
  • Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations
  • Ability to read and communicate in the English language
