Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Class A CDL Yard Jockey to join our team. As a Class A CDL Yard Jockey, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer to transport goods to and from our warehouse, as well as performing various tasks related to loading and unloading cargo.

Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with Dispatcher/Router for truck/trailer and door assignments
  • Keep assigned equipment coupled
  • Move trailers between buildings as directed by Router or Warehouse Supervisor
  • Load, unload, or merge loads between environments
  • Stage shuttle trailers nightly for shuttle drivers
  • Set up trailers for backhaul with tractor and empty pallets
  • Place backhauls in correct door to be unloaded by warehouse
  • Ensure all equipment is paired and ready for next day's deliveries
  • Work with mechanics nightly
  • Attend all required company meetings
Requirements:
  • Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift
  • Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
  • Minimum of six months commercial driving experience preferred
  • Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations
  • Must be able to read and communicate in the English language
