Job Summary

Vigor Marine is seeking a skilled Marine Equipment Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our marine equipment and vessels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on marine equipment, including cranes, dry-docks, and machinery.
  • Conduct inspections and troubleshoot issues to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects and meet customer expectations.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to prevent equipment downtime and reduce costs.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to improve skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 4 years of relevant work experience preferred.
  • Proven skills and work history will be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English fluently.
  • Basic math skills and ability to perform calculations accurately.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with marine equipment, shipyard maintenance, or heavy machinery repair.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures for working at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
