Marine Rigger

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Rigger to join our team at Safe Harbor Marinas. As a Marine Rigger, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of sailing equipment and rigging systems on sailboats.

• Unstep and step masts
• Assemble and disassemble spars
• Tune standing rigging
• Connect and troubleshoot mast lights and wiring
• Install booms, sails, and running rigging
• Prepare sailboats to safely sail
• Splice lines, service winches, and furling systems
• Service sailboat steering systems and deck hardware
• Inspect and estimate repairs

• Ability to work with hands and experience with hand tools
• Sailing experience preferred
• Previous experience preferred, willing to train
• Hoisting/Crane Operator experience preferred
• ABYC and/or manufacturer certifications a plus
• Ability to ascend and descend a ladder
• Familiarity with boats and nomenclature
• Ability to lift 100 pounds
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Ability to hang, move, twist, and climb with loads
