Job Description

We are seeking a Recreation Assistant to join our team. This part-time position involves working with program leads to develop and implement recreation programs that promote socialization, skill-building, and physical activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Collaborate with program leads to design and deliver recreation programs that cater to diverse interests and abilities.">
  • Assist in supervising participants, including small groups and individuals, and provide 1:1 ratio when needed.">
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community resources, such as the YMCA, school systems, and Special Olympic programs.">
  • Provide direct support and contact with individuals and caretakers, ensuring their needs are met.">
  • Take leadership responsibility in emergency situations, demonstrating expertise and composure.">

Requirements

  • ">
  • A minimum of one year of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities or experience in a recreation or sports activity leadership position is required.">
  • A passion and dedication to supporting our people are essential.">
  • A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record are necessary.">
  • The ability to pass company background and reference checks is mandatory.">
