Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Educator to join our team. As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will play a vital role in the development and implementation of educational programs for nursing staff, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills needed to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver educational programs for nursing staff, including orientation, training, and professional development.
- Conduct needs assessments and identify learning needs of patients and staff.
- Facilitate opportunities for staff to develop their skills and knowledge, including precepting, teaching, and mentoring.
- Track and monitor orientation progress for all department of nursing hires.
- Support competency training and annual HealthStream completion by all staff.
- Conduct ongoing evaluation of educational offerings using the latest evidence, scholarly information, and cost-effectiveness strategies.
- Serve as a nursing practice leader, coach, and mentor to staff.
- Participate in self-performance appraisal process and seek feedback from nurse leaders, peers, and others.
- MSN (or) DNP (or) PhD preferred. BSN required.
- Current certification required or to be attained within two-year period from date of hire.
- Current nursing licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Minimum five years of clinical experience as a clinical nurse with demonstrated evidence of leadership progression.
- Demonstrated evidence of competent nursing practice in clinical area or specialty.
- Competency in adult learning principles and a sound clinical nursing knowledge base.
- Central float pool experience strongly preferred.
- Current clinical educator experience preferred.
- Experience with ED boarding care preferred.
- Critical care and STAT/Code nurse experience preferred.
- ACLS/BLS Instructor certification preferred.
- Centralized class teaching experience preferred.
