Position Overview:

Senior Living Communities is currently seeking applications for a Flexible Pool Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide essential care to our residents across various settings, including Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, and Memory Care.

This role involves traveling to different community locations as needed, ensuring that our residents receive the highest quality of care tailored to their individual needs.

The primary community is designated, but the CNA will be required to work at multiple locations and in various care levels as assigned.

Availability for on-call shifts during weekends is required, with a minimum commitment of two weekend days per month, along with a minimum of 16 hours of work each month. Certification as a CNA is mandatory.


Compensation and Benefits:

Due to the travel requirements of this position, we offer the following bonuses:

  • Fuel Surcharge: $20 for each shift worked
  • FLEX Bonus: $35 for each shift worked

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, and mobility support.
  • Support residents during meal times, which includes escorting, transferring, taking orders, serving, and cleaning up.
  • Provide housekeeping assistance, such as bed making, trash removal, laundry, and cleaning of resident rooms and bathrooms as needed.
  • Engage residents in life enrichment activities, collaborating with Life Enrichment Leaders and Supervisors.
  • Accompany residents to scheduled programs and encourage participation in community activities.
  • Monitor and record vital signs and weights as required.
  • Participate in all mandatory training and educational programs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

This position is physically demanding, requiring frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Proper body mechanics must be utilized when assisting residents.

Long hours and weekend shifts are common in this role.


Travel Expectations:

While regular travel is not anticipated, occasional travel may be necessary for training, emergency situations, or other company-related functions.


Qualifications:
  • State Certification as a Nursing Assistant
  • Certification in CPR, AED, and First Aid
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Preferred: Two years of experience in a similar healthcare role.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Ability to meet attendance and punctuality standards.
  • Proficiency in using electronic records and office equipment.
  • Capability to follow directions and work independently.
