About the Role

Amedisys is seeking a skilled Patient Services Coordinator to join our team. As a Patient Services Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient scheduling of patient visits and the effective management of our clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Visit Scheduling: Ensure that patient assessment visits, including all Oasis visits, are scheduled and performed in a timely manner.
  • Clinician Scheduling: Ensure that clinicians are assigned and scheduled in the most efficient geography, maximizing clinician efficiency and optimizing clinician capacity.
  • Communication: Work collaboratively with field clinicians to ensure that all patient visits are scheduled and completed as ordered and within the care center.
  • Issue Resolution: Manage calls from patients and field staff related to scheduling issues and refer clinical and performance-related issues to the clinical manager.
  • Reporting: Run all applicable reports and respond to workflow, taking appropriate actions.
  • Supply Management: May be responsible for maintaining supply closets with routine supplies, ensuring supplies are within expiration dates and packaged appropriately, and serving as a liaison with the field for patient supply needs.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience: One year of scheduling experience in a healthcare environment or one year of administrative experience in a healthcare environment.
