DCS Corp is seeking a Cyber System Security Engineer to support critical defense initiatives. This role merges traditional systems engineering with cybersecurity principles, requiring a comprehensive understanding of both hardware and software design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and identify cyber threats at various levels including system, sub-system, hardware, and software.
  • Review and analyze technical documentation, such as Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and System Architectures.
  • Investigate known vulnerabilities from databases and assess their relevance to system components.
  • Document findings and create reports in accordance with established Standard Work Packages (SWPs).
  • Identify potential threat vectors and assess risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Program Information Assurance personnel to align Cyber Survivability Risk Assessment (CSRA) findings with NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements.
  • Develop and propose mitigation strategies for identified risks.
  • Support the creation of software, supply chain, and mission assurance plans.
  • Analyze software development methodologies and delivery processes.
  • Assess supply chain origins and document associated risks.
  • Understand mission-critical functions and recommend protective measures.
  • Contribute to the formulation of engineering requirements that enhance cyber resilience.
  • Mentor team members to foster skill development and knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory due to the sensitive nature of the work.
  • A Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma with 15 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 4 years of experience.
  • Experience in Science/Engineering or Systems Engineering, with a background in air platforms or weapon systems.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance, with TS/SCI eligibility.
  • Strong independent work ethic and adherence to security protocols.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Possession of at least one relevant certification such as CEH, Security+, CISSP, or similar.
  • Onsite work is required; remote work is not an option.
  • Occasional travel may be necessary.
  • High moral character and integrity are essential.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems, MIL-STD 1553, and real-time operating systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, or Java.
  • Experience with static and dynamic analysis tools.
  • Highly organized and focused on mission success.
  • Knowledge of current industry trends, including Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and with Scrum teams.
