Responsibilities

The Environmental Services Technician is responsible for upholding the standards of cleanliness and safety within the hospital. This includes demonstrating professionalism and effective communication with all stakeholders, including staff, patients, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  1. Maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and corporate compliance standards.
  2. Exhibiting teamwork and cooperation, adhering to the Standards of Conduct policy.
  3. Implementing infection control measures in line with regulatory guidelines while executing standard cleaning protocols.
  4. Safely managing the disposal and transport of hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with the Resource Conservation Recovery Act (RCRA).
  5. Executing routine cleaning tasks, such as waste collection, linen management, high dusting, and restroom sanitation, while utilizing appropriate cleaning agents as per safety guidelines.
  6. Performing additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous.

Compensation

The pay rate for this position is $21.47 per hour.
