Store Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Manager to lead our Fayetteville Southern Pines store. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for maximizing controllable profit and minimizing expenses while maintaining Harris Teeter standards in a union-free environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Store Manager in managing the store to achieve sales and profit goals
- Supervise up to 10 associates in the retail store
- Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of assigned departments
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Harris Teeter policies and standards
- Interview, train, and develop associates
- Plan, assign, and direct work
- Appraise performance, reward, and discipline associates
- Address complaints and resolve problems
- Perform duties of all store associates as appropriate
- High school diploma plus three years of management experience
- Certified Co-Manager with successful performance
- External candidate with previous store manager or multi-store management experience and completion of the Management Development Program
- Internal or external candidate with a two or four-year business degree and successful completion of the Management Development Program
- D.S.D. Receiver Certification (Grocery Standards 0-20)
- Commitment to unparalleled customer service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to participate in and successfully complete required training
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English
- Ability to write simple correspondence in English
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates of the organization who only speak English
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Pay Transparency: Harris Teeter reasonably expects to pay between $22.00/hour and $27.95/hour for this role as a newly hired associate. Pay may depend on previous experience and skill sets of the applicant.
