Position Overview:


The Senior Analytics Manager will facilitate and support the execution of business strategies by fostering relationships, recognizing organizational needs, and implementing effective processes and practices.

This role is located in Bentonville, Arkansas and will report directly to the Director of IB/OB Transportation.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Partnerships:
Advise senior management and offer insights on challenges and potential solutions.
Identify critical business areas and create process flow diagrams to achieve objectives.
Draft initial executive presentations to convey strategic recommendations to leadership based on thorough research and data analysis.
Evaluate findings based on partner feedback and provide insights tailored to the audience.

Team Development:
Mentor team members on strategic initiatives and outline pathways to meet overall business objectives.
Conduct timely performance evaluations by providing actionable insights and supporting career advancement.

Data Management and Analysis:

Possess a comprehensive understanding of constructing data pipelines and data lakes, along with proficiency in
SQL, Python, and Tableau.

Address business challenges by identifying data sources, integrating data, and performing analysis using
SQL, Python, and visualizing results on Tableau dashboards.

Establish processes for the team to monitor and identify any anomalies in the data.
Conduct exploratory analyses and communicate findings to the team and stakeholders.

Algorithm Development:

Design and oversee components of algorithmic products/models, ensuring alignment with overall product objectives after validation with existing tools.

Utilize Walmart's existing tools to verify findings and run simulations to test hypotheses.
Formulate technical solutions for data-related challenges.
Develop and implement algorithms for data analysis and modeling.

Testing and Validation:
Lead pilot programs across the network, identifying gaps and proposing solutions for implementation.
Collaborate with stakeholders including Business, Software Engineering, Data Science, and Operations teams.

Generate innovative ideas through research, applying knowledge to develop new insights, and contribute to proof-of-concept projects.


Data Integrity Management:
Plan and spearhead initiatives to ensure data quality and integrity.
Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures.
Monitor data quality metrics, proactively identifying and resolving issues.

Technical Proficiencies:
Python

SQL

GCP
Tableau
Excel

Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 years of people management experience.
Expertise in Python,
SQL,
GCP, and Tableau.
Experience in product/tool deployment across multiple organizations.
Strong presentation and communication skills.
Prior experience in Supply Chain and Transportation.

Educational Requirements:


A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Data Science, Computer Science, Analytics, Statistics, or a related field with 8 years of experience in an analytics-related role, or a Master's degree in the same fields with 6 years of relevant experience.

Six Sigma Certification (Green, Black) is a plus.
In-depth knowledge of Python,
SQL, and Tableau.
