About the Role

The Military Child Education Coalition (MCEC) is seeking a visionary leader to serve as its President and Chief Executive Officer. As the organization's chief executive, you will be responsible for driving MCEC's mission to ensure quality educational opportunities for military-connected children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve MCEC's mission and goals
  • Provide leadership and oversight to the executive team and staff
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including the Board of Directors, government officials, and education leaders
  • Oversee the development and implementation of programs and services that support military-connected children
  • Ensure the financial stability and sustainability of MCEC
Requirements
  • Doctorate degree in education, behavioral sciences, or a related field
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in senior management positions, preferably in the nonprofit sector
  • Proven track record of leadership and management experience, with a focus on strategic planning and execution
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
