Vegetable Seeds Development Internship Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Vegetable Seeds Development team as an intern. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the development of new vegetable seeds, working closely with our breeding and market segment teams.
Responsibilities:
Foster a culture of operational excellence, adhering to all applicable HSE and corporate policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Support the breeding and market segment teams in field-related activities, including the evaluation of new experimental hybrids and inbred lines.
Implement electronic data collection protocols and procedures, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data.
Manage and lead field crew activities during the field evaluation season.
Assist breeding and market segment teams in collecting data for trait discovery and validation projects.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline (Plant Biology, Plant Breeding, Horticulture, Genetics, Agronomy, or another closely related major is preferred).
Bilingual (English and Spanish) is ideal but not required.
Eligible to work in the US.
Preferred Requirements:
Excellent communication skills to work well with co-workers on tasks.
Independent individual who is self-motivating and needs little supervision.
Ability to communicate information (written and spoken) is highly desired.
Detail/Accuracy Oriented-All procedures and policies must be understood and followed.
Excellent computer skills, including proficiencies in Microsoft Office.
Innovative - To always look to implement new procedures or technologies to improve work efficiencies.
Knowledge of plant breeding.
