Job Summary

The Staff Accountant is a key member of the Christ Community Health Services team, responsible for managing the organization's accounting, banking, and financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and process payroll-related journal entries and financial reports, including PTO and payroll accruals.
  2. Audit payroll deductions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  3. Generate a daily cash report using outstanding check lists, A/P Aging, and General Ledger.
  4. Record and reconcile daily bank transactions, as well as reconcile accounts on a daily basis.
  5. Reconcile daily cash activity of clinics and reconcile the clearing account.
  6. Reconcile prepaid expenses and other current asset accounts.
  7. Record and reconcile accounts receivable, including invoicing.
  8. Assist in closing various revenue systems each month and creating necessary entries to record revenue.
  9. Prepare audit schedules and analysis of accounts for yearly audit and UDS report.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • 1-2 years' experience in accounting, payroll processing, balancing bank statements, and general ledger.

Working Conditions:

Typical office environment with potential eye strain due to working on computer for long periods of time.
