Financial Representative Trainee Role Overview

At Mutual of Omaha, we're committed to helping our customers achieve their financial goals. As a Financial Representative Trainee, you'll play a critical role in supporting our sales team and developing the skills necessary to excel in the insurance industry.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in a comprehensive training program to develop skills in selling Individual Insurance products.
  • Contribute to classroom discussions, goal setting sessions, and progress evaluation meetings.
  • Demonstrate sales process competency and pass a sales process competency test.
  • Gain direct sales experience in marketing Individual Insurance products to clients.
  • Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with internal business partners.

Requirements:
  • Ability to successfully achieve criteria of Trainee Program.
  • Ability to pass and apply for appropriate insurance licenses within 14 days of entry into the job.
  • Must pass the CRD/FINRA background check at hire and ongoing.
  • Highly self-motivated and results-oriented with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the work period and maintain a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the Insurance/Financial Services industry, products, and marketing practices.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred but not required.
