We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our team at the University of Missouri. As a Dishwasher, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes and wash them by hand or place them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine, depending on assigned equipment.
  • Wash pots, pans, and trays based on assigned procedures, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Polish silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth, depending on assigned equipment and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with outlined safety procedures and maintain temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.
  • Keep the dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards, sweeping and mopping kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
  • Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food prep surfaces, removing trash and placing it in designated containers, and steam cleaning or hosing out garbage cans.
  • Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, helping to load and unload supplies and product.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and sanitary work area.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies.
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation procedures.
