Compensation: $18.00-$23.00 Guaranteed and $21.00-$33.00 Flat Rate; Dependent on Experience
The Automotive Technician position is available in both full-time and part-time capacities, with hourly compensation tailored to the operational needs of the business. The primary focus of this role is to execute fundamental vehicle diagnostics and carry out routine maintenance and repair services in alignment with company protocols and manufacturer guidelines. This position is dedicated to providing outstanding service to our clients, ensuring clear communication regarding vehicle concerns and recommended solutions, while consistently meeting customer expectations for quality and timeliness.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct essential vehicle diagnostics to accurately determine necessary repairs. Diligently complete the Courtesy Inspection process for every vehicle serviced, identifying, documenting, and communicating any additional services or repairs needed; review inspections conducted by General Service Technicians. Support inventory management tasks, including retrieving tires and parts, as well as unloading and organizing stock. Assist with general store operations, ensuring the facility is maintained to high standards of cleanliness and is consistently ready for customer engagement. Perform services in accordance with safety protocols, including adherence to company safety standards and compliance procedures. Execute test drives in line with company policies, utilizing designated routes while obeying all traffic laws and safety regulations. Maintain compliance with company policies and governmental regulations, including environmental codes and safety standards. Keep technical skills and knowledge current by completing all required training modules through Monro University. Safely operate and maintain all equipment according to company and manufacturer guidelines, including lifts, welders, and brake lathes. Undertake additional duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Automotive training in basic maintenance and repair or a comparable combination of education and experience. ASE certification and State Inspection license preferred where applicable. Must possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and be capable of operating customer vehicles for test drives. Required to own a basic set of tools or participate in the company's tool purchase program.Additional Benefits:
