Role Summary:
We are in search of a driven and skilled Back of House Supervisor to enhance our operations. The successful candidate will possess a genuine enthusiasm for culinary arts, robust leadership capabilities, and meticulous attention to detail. In this role, you will oversee the daily functions of our bakery and deli, ensuring that our offerings meet the highest standards and that our patrons receive outstanding service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor back of house personnel, including bakers, sandwich artisans, and kitchen support staff.
- Develop and manage work schedules to guarantee sufficient staffing for all shifts.
- Oversee inventory management and initiate supply orders as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation protocols consistently.
- Maintain a tidy and organized kitchen and storage areas.
- Work collaboratively with front of house staff to facilitate seamless operations and superior customer service.
- Assist in the preparation and creation of baked goods and deli products as required.
- Address any operational challenges proactively and effectively.
- Conduct regular performance assessments and provide constructive feedback and guidance to team members.
- Stay informed about industry trends and suggest enhancements for menu offerings.
- Comply with all company policies and health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary education or certification is advantageous.
- A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a bakery or deli environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to inspire and lead a team in a dynamic setting.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and POS systems.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
