About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver, a leader who sets a positive example, and a team player who encourages and engages their colleagues. The successful candidate will assist in providing leadership to achieve the financial and quality goals of their restaurant operation, ensuring the effective and efficient operation of all aspects of the business, and managing in a manner consistent with the company's mission, operating philosophy, standards, and values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operation of the restaurant during their shift to ensure excellent guest service
  • Act as food expediter (expo) to ensure proper delivery of guest orders during meal periods
  • Assist in organizing in-room dining and carry-out orders
  • Ensure standards for service, sanitation, and presentation are being followed
  • Respond to the needs and requests of guests and potential guests
  • Monitor outlet costs relating to food, beverage, and labor
  • Lead by following the standards of productivity for food and beverage personnel
  • Create a comfortable atmosphere to encourage committed and loyal employees
  • Assist with hiring and training programs for food and beverage personnel
  • Assist in other Food and Beverage outlets as needed

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a restaurant in a luxury hotel and/or full-service resort
  • Knowledge of Micros
  • Ability to make quick decisions in high-stress situations
  • Possession of food safety certification or ability to acquire certification
  • Possession of alcohol awareness certification or ability to acquire certification
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Pleasant and positive personality
  • Well-organized
