Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our team at Alaska Regional Hospital. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
  • Prepare and maintain operating room equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in good working order.
  • Count and verify surgical instruments and supplies to prevent errors.
  • Participate in safety initiatives to ensure correct patient identification and verification of procedures.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience as a Surgical Technician or in a related field.
  • Surgical Technologist Certificate (CST) or equivalent preferred.
  • Completion of a surgical technologist course or comparable experience.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
