Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and finish foods on all stations within the kitchen, adhering to outlet standards.
  • Quality Control: Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment, ensuring compliance with Health Department standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Assist the Chef de Partie and Chef as needed in the execution of production, ensuring seamless kitchen operations.
  • Inventory Management: Properly label and date all products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation, and maintain accurate inventories to prevent product shortages.
  • Closing Duties: Break down work stations, complete closing duties, and ensure all food items are stored properly.
Requirements
  • Culinary Experience: 3 years of culinary experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume, luxury hotel/restaurant environment.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively in English, read and follow recipes, and complete basic mathematical calculations.
  • Sanitation and Culinary Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of sanitation and culinary practices, with accurate knife skills.
  • Teamwork and Problem-Solving: Ability to work in an organized fashion, within a team environment, and resolve problems using good judgment.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Additional Requirements
  • Licensing and Certifications: Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required for this position.
  • Age and Health Card: Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid health card.
