Job Description

River Edge Behavioral Health is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Clinician to join our team at the Misdemeanor Mental Health Court.

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified Associate Licensed Clinician to provide comprehensive support to participants in the Misdemeanor Mental Health Court program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health and substance abuse treatment, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Conduct bio-psychosocial assessments and develop client treatment plans.
  2. Provide individual, group, and family therapy to participants and their families.
  3. Work with jail health/behavioral health staff on referrals and discharges.
  4. Coordinate with community resources to provide support services to participants.
  5. Attend weekly team meetings and trainings.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in social service field or related field.
  • Associate License or Fully Licensed in either LAPC, LMSW, LAMFT, LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.
  • At least one year of post-master's experience providing mental health and substance abuse treatment.
  • Knowledge and expertise with chronically mentally ill population.
  • Ability to pass an intensive background check and pre-employment drug test.

  2. Communication: Effective communication skills for counseling sessions and progress monitoring.
  3. Counseling: Proficiency in counseling techniques for individual and group sessions.
  4. Assessment and Treatment Planning: Ability to conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and develop treatment plans.
  5. Documentation: Skill in preparing and maintaining accurate treatment records and reports.
