Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled RN Educator to develop and implement clinical education programs that foster high-quality care through evidence-based practice, performance improvement activities, and professional staff development.
Responsibilities- Design and deliver program-specific clinical education programs to ensure staff has current knowledge and competencies to meet program contractual and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with Education staff across the enterprise to develop an annual training calendar and ensure a coordinated approach to ongoing programs.
- Ensure clinical education programs align with the CMS Triple Aim framework and address patient-centered needs.
- Manage implementation of clinical staff development programs, including orientation, in-services, training, and other learning activities.
- Review program-specific educational program outcomes and program evaluations to determine areas for improvement and make recommendations for change and/or new programs.
- Train and/or oversee training of new and current staff in VNS Health/program philosophy, policy, standards, procedures, documentation, models for service delivery, and efficient, productive, cost-effective work processes.
- Monitor and evaluate performance of newly hired staff and staff referred on for remedial or additional training.
- Design new and modify existing educational curriculum and training materials to ensure staff has current knowledge and competencies to meet program contractual and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct educational needs assessment in collaboration with operations staff to identify learning needs among staff.
- Develop education programs, such as workshops and/or group learning activities, to address performance issues and develop performance improvement plans for tenured employees.
- Participate in the development of revised programs and/or materials.
- Communicate ongoing e-learning opportunities and evaluate e-learning usage and effectiveness.
- Analyze course evaluations to evaluate effectiveness of training sessions and implement improvements.
- Participate in the development of annual clinical education strategic goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with Quality department in the development of and implementation of education-related training programs.
- Current license and registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse.
- CM certification (Certified Care Management) preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent work experience required.
- Master's Degree in Nursing required.
- Minimum four years' experience in a community-based or long-term home health setting, including at least two years with a primary focus on education and training.
- Medicare experience strongly preferred.
