Responsibilities
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to our hotel's sanitation and safety protocols.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and display buffet food items according to our hotel's standards, ensuring a positive guest experience.
  • Quality Control: Recognize and maintain quality standards in fresh vegetables, fish, and dairy and meat products.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Maintain a clean and sanitary environment, with knowledge of proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
  • Banquet and Catering: Prepare and serve food for banquets and catering functions, following specifications on Banquet Event Orders.
  • Employee Cafeteria: Prepare and serve food for the employee cafeteria, as specified by the Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.
  • Recipe Preparation: Prepare all foods following our hotel's standard recipes, with the ability to support any position in the kitchen as needed.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and proper operation of all kitchen equipment.
  • Health and Safety: Follow all Health Department and Company regulations in regards to food and storage standards and safety.
Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
  • Culinary Experience: Culinary experience required, with proficiency in cooking techniques such as charbroiling, poaching, deep-frying, sauté, braising, roasting, and par-cooking.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Thorough knowledge of menus and preparation required, according to our hotel's standards, as well as knowledge of herbs and spices and proper use of each.
