We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team at Western & Southern Financial Group. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and administering Cloud-based platform solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor new developments in emerging Cloud technology trends and identify new products with potential benefit to W&SFG.
  • Demonstrate the applicability of tools in real-world applications and investigate their use in W&SFG.
  • Provide "swat team" style support to development projects by resolving complex problems.
  • Ensure projects remain on track with aggressive schedules.
  • Engage in the SDLC of new systems and technologies and/or major system improvements.
  • Evaluate the feasibility of proposed projects and assess new software packages in terms of cost, resources, system capability, and other attributes.
  • Engage with vendors and third parties to support platforms and implement improvements.
  • Ensure SLA commitments both internally and externally.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in information security, computer science, or information technology or commensurate selection criteria experience.
  • 5+ years of professional IT experience including 2 years of support experience in related technologies such as Azure as well as other cloud platforms.
  • Solid infrastructure background, strong understanding of products and technologies such as Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, messaging, etc., as well as Cloud infrastructure/services and delivery models.
  • Solid technical experience in infrastructure deployment and maintenance.
  • Good communication skills with experience in customer support.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Microsoft Azure or M365 certifications are a strong plus.
Work Environment
  • This position works in an office setting and remains in a stationary position for long periods of time while working at a desk, on a computer or with other standard office equipment, or while in meetings.
  • Requires visual acuity to read a variety of correspondence, reports and forms, and to prepare and analyze data in an accurate, neat and thorough manner.
  • Ability to continuously make repetitive motions of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
