About the Job

We offer a competitive salary of $83,500 - $124,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Summary

As a Speech Pathologist, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and providing direct intervention with students to treat speech, voice, fluency, and language disorders. Your expertise will help students overcome communication challenges and reach their full potential.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive treatment plans to address individual student needs;
  • Administer and screen speech and language assessments to identify areas of strength and weakness;
  • Screen, evaluate, and write comprehensive reports on evaluated students;
  • Assist in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs);
  • Participate in multidisciplinary evaluation teams to ensure comprehensive support for students;
  • Provide direct therapy and instruction to students using a variety of strategies and techniques;
  • Consult with staff and parents regarding speech/language needs of students;
  • Participate in Medicaid in Public Schools (MIPS) as directed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis and treatment of hearing/speech disorders;
  • Strategies for articulation and language development;
  • Relevant medical, social, and legal community resources;
  • Assessment instruments and methodologies;
  • Current relevant research related to speech pathology and children;
  • Safety procedures;
  • Augmentative-Alternative Communication systems and interventions;
  • Identification of students' communication needs as they relate to the Expanded Core Curriculum.
Pre-Employment Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A Master's Degree in Speech Pathology;
  • An Arizona Department of Health Services (AzDHS) Speech-Language Pathology License;
  • A Current Arizona Department of Education Certificate as a Speech Language Pathologist;
  • A Current ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) Certificate with Certificate (CCC) of Clinical Competence or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY);
  • An AHCCCS number for Medicaid billing within four months of hire.
