The Housekeeping Aid is a vital member of the VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION team, responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients and staff. As a Housekeeping Aid, you will perform a variety of tasks, including cleaning wards, patient rooms, and other areas of the facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and disinfect patient rooms, wards, and other areas of the facility
  • Empty trash and recyclables, and replace liners in trash cans
  • Restock supplies, such as toilet paper and paper towels
  • Operate cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and floor buffers
  • Assist with special events and projects, as needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
