Job Summary

Flagship Facility Services is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Janitorial Specialist to join our team. As a Janitorial Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub, and polish floors using industrial equipment and cleaning solutions.
  • Sanitation and Hygiene: Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and other high-touch areas, ensuring a clean and healthy environment.
  • Trash and Recycling: Empty trash and recycling bins, and replace liners as needed.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and repair cleaning equipment, and report any issues to management.
  • Special Projects: Participate in special cleaning projects, such as deep cleaning of offices, common areas, and equipment.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: 6 months of experience in commercial facilities and building janitorial work desired.
  • Skills: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge: Basic knowledge of cleaning products and equipment, and ability to follow safety protocols.
Work Environment:

Our facilities are located in a variety of settings, including small-to-large office environments. You will be exposed to a combination of normal office type environments and shop environments. Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, cleaning products, and noise.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to perform the following repetitive movements: stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear. Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time.
