Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal/Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our Microelectronics Design and Applications (MDA) team, you will be responsible for leading the development of new technologies to support emerging supercomputing technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute the program lifecycle, including major program milestones and reviews.
  • Ensure system technical compliance with the program Statement of Work and system requirements.
  • Manage the vertical and horizontal technical integration throughout the product teams and program life cycle.
  • Collect, manage, and report program metrics and Technical Performance Measures.
  • Manage risk and opportunity and the production of core engineering work products and track the work products and associated program dependencies in the program schedule.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of experience, a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 3 years of experience, or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 0 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated Model Based Systems Engineering (SysML) experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with Systems Development Lifecycle with a focus on SRR to CDR.
  • Demonstrated Requirements Management from Elicitation to Verification.
  • Demonstrated Backlog Planning and Management.
  • Experience in systems development, integration, and test.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering processing from generation of an Integrated Master Plan (IMP) to Work Product Breakdown into Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for the development of complex systems of systems.
  • Risk and Opportunity Management experience.
  • Demonstrated Experience with Systems Development Lifecycle, Focus on SRR to CDR.
  • Master's degree or PhD in STEM or technical management.
  • Understanding of DoD systems engineering requirements (UAF).
  • Multi-Disciplinary Engineering exposure (Software, Hardware, Electrical) and strong ability to communicate cross functionally.
  • Experience managing contracts of $10M.
