Principal Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal and/or Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join our Airborne Multifunction Systems (AMS) Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) team at our Linthicum, MD campus. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and fielding advanced signal processing algorithms and system performance models within the Multifunction RF space.
Key Responsibilities- Design and model signal processing algorithms to implement and support various modes, such as long-range search and track Radar waveforms and electronic surveillance measure returns.
- Develop parametric representations, visualizations, and data-driven analysis to support sensor requirements definition and use case validation.
- Support the integration of sensor modes and trackers from digital simulation environments to sensor labs to our on-site fleet of specially modified test aircraft.
- Engage with customers to balance their functional and performance requirements with other sensor functionality to enable true multi-function operation.
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent experience.
- Experience with developing Radar/RF signal processing algorithms.
- Experience with developing system level performance models in MATLAB or equivalent programming/analysis languages.
- Working knowledge of systems engineering principles and processes.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
- Ability to obtain approval for Special Access Programs prior to starting.
- US Citizenship required.
- Master's Degree or PhD in a STEM discipline.
- Experience with optimal estimation algorithms (Kalman Filtering), digital beamforming, or adaptive processing.
- Proficiency with MATLAB and C/C++.
- Prior approval for special access programs.
