Principal Manufacturing Systems Engineer

Job Summary:
Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Manufacturing Systems Engineer to join the Additive Manufacturing Engineering Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting fabrication efforts, developing new processes, and managing IRAD projects related to additive manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop precision machine builds following process documentation to support hands-on additive manufacturing fabrication.
- Provide guidance to technicians on the factory floor through technical troubleshooting.
- Initiate corrective action and process optimization to ensure product quality to ensure all parts conform to the design configuration.
- Collaborate with design, RF, and systems engineering to develop producible additively manufactured designs and product development expectations that support program needs.
- Execute the Additive Manufacturing development roadmap, including the maturation of low Manufacturing Readiness Level process capabilities into full-rate-production as a primary program liaison collaborating with upstream and downstream manufacturing processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field and 5 years of relevant professional experience (3 years with a Master's degree).
- Prior experience with manufacturing engineering and new product development.
- Demonstrated experience with project management and communication tracking cost and schedule.
- Must have fluency in MS Office software applications.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret level security clearance is required.
- US Citizenship is a prerequisite.
