Bridge and Waterfront Structural Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Bridge and Waterfront Structural Design Engineer to join our team at PND Engineers in Anchorage, Alaska.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of bridge and waterfront projects, including bridges, marine terminals, harbors, and mooring and berthing structures. As a Bridge and Waterfront Structural Design Engineer, you will be responsible for determining structural loads, performing structural calculations, and analysis and design of bridge and waterfront structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development of construction drawings in AutoCAD.
  • Inspect and perform condition assessments of existing structures and develop well-written technical engineering reports in MS Word.
  • Work collaboratively with other engineers and technicians in the office and other offices to perform work in other related fields such as site-civil design, surveying, environmental engineering, and permitting.
Requirements
  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering with Structural emphasis from an ABET-accredited engineering school.
  • Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (F.E.) exam within six months of hire.
  • Familiarity with structural analysis software (RISA 3D, SAP, etc.) and AutoCAD experience.
  • Proven team player with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and ability to think and perform work independently.
