Plan Review Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Plan Review Engineer to join our team at the Municipality of Anchorage. As a key member of our Development Services Department, you will be responsible for reviewing construction plans and ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review construction plans and specifications for compliance with building codes and regulations
- Conduct site visits to inspect construction projects and ensure compliance with approved plans
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve plan review issues
- Prepare written reports and recommendations for plan review issues
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or similar discipline
- Four years of experience in construction or project management, building construction design, and/or building plan review
- Certification from the International Code Council (ICC) or ability to obtain within six months of hire
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or similar discipline
- Professional Registered Engineer License
