Job Title: Quality Control Inspector

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Inspector to join our team at Morgan Truck Body LLC. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and maintaining our reputation for excellence.

Job Summary:

The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for inspecting and ensuring that all units are manufactured to sales agreement, Morgan's engineering drawings, standards, and specifications. This includes conducting in-process quality audits, reviewing standards and specification requirements with production supervisors, and performing final inspection functions per Morgan and customer specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Inspect and ensure all units are manufactured to sales agreement.
  2. Inspect and ensure all units are manufactured to Morgan's engineering drawings, standards, and specifications.
  3. Direct others within the work area to complete rework items.
  4. Conduct in-process quality audits and review standards and specification requirements with production supervisors when errors or defects are detected.
  5. Perform final inspection function per Morgan and customer specification and standards.
  6. Work with manufacturing to ensure on-time delivery and budgetary goals are met.
  7. Direct and coordinate the quality process, provide continuous quality improvements, and ensure the integrity of Morgan's product quality, manufacturing, certification, and release activities.
  8. Train the workforce on quality standards and specifications.
  9. Adhere to the company safety regulations and assist in the training and awareness of safety guidelines to new employees in the department.
  10. Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
  11. Perform other duties as required by management.
Requirements:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).
  2. Previous experience in a quality control/quality assurance position. Prefer 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or a quality assurance environment.
  3. Clear and effective communication skills.
  4. Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time and follow established safety and procedures.
  5. Computer experience using Microsoft Office.
Work Environment:

This job operates in a manufacturing plant environment. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk or hear. The team member frequently is required to stand (sometimes for extended periods); walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms, and lift up to 35 pounds. The team member may, at times, sit, bend, stoop, squat, reach overhead, or crawl (may be in confined spaces). The QC Inspector is expected to perform repetitive tasks with the team member's hands, and have the ability to climb ladders and/or work in high places.
