Position Overview

Summary: Responsible for ensuring the protection, security, and safety of assets, personnel, clients, and all visitors.

IMPORTANT: A personal cell phone is required for work-related communication (Monthly stipend provided by NHcare). A vehicle, a valid CA Driver's License, and current auto insurance are necessary for driving on behalf of NHcare (mileage reimbursement at IRS rate).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct security patrols, including driving patrols.
  • Safeguard property against theft, fire, and accidents.
  • Offer assistance to clients, staff, and visitors as needed.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
  • Exercise sound judgment and decision-making within established policies and procedures.
  • Escort personnel and visitors to their vehicles upon request.
  • Perform basic cleaning and maintenance duties.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with staff and the public.
  • Adhere to standard policies and procedures.
  • Keep informed about organizational activities and promote our mission and goals.
  • Operate at the highest level according to qualifications and competencies.
  • Enhance patient experience by demonstrating courteous and helpful behavior and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Instill confidence in our care and facilities among patients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Utilize appropriate safety equipment as required and practice safe body mechanics to maintain an injury-free environment.

Qualifications:

Skills: Ability to lift up to 50lbs and remain standing for extended periods.

Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. A current CA Guard Card is required. CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of employment.

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is preferred.

Neighborhood Healthcare offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes: Medical, Dental, and Vision Plans; over two weeks of vacation; nine holidays including two floating holidays of your choice; Sick/Personal time; Volunteer Time Off (VTO); a 403b Retirement plan (similar to a 401k); optional Health and Wellness events; and much more.

Compensation: $19.42 to $20.53 per hour, based on experience.
