Psychiatric Nurse 3 Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychiatric Nurse 3 Supervisor to join our team at the Alaska Psychiatric Institute. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for coordinating patient and unit activities, providing leadership to the Nursing staff, and working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate patient and unit activities, including developing and implementing treatment plans, providing regular supervision to Registered Nurses, Psychiatric Nursing Assistants, and Office Assistants, and promoting a culture of safety on the unit.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care, including collaborating with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Provide leadership to the Nursing staff, including mentoring, coaching, and evaluating the performance of team members.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safe and effective delivery of patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new policies and procedures.
- Eligibility for licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska.
- Two years of professional experience as a Registered Nurse, one of which must have been as a full-performance/journey level Psychiatric or Corrections Nurse.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and demands.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
