About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT professional to join our team as a Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our enterprise-wide IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure Design and Implementation
    • Plan, install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain both physical and virtual servers, as well as software across local area (LAN) and storage area networks (SAN)
    • Possess extensive expertise in storage area networks and their integration within a virtualized environment
  • Virtualization and Cloud Services
    • Deploy and manage a robust virtualization host platform capable of supporting at least 90% of servers utilized by our organization, incorporating disaster recovery solutions into the architecture
  • System Performance and Optimization
    • Ensure optimal performance of systems that deliver applications to end users and provide recommendations for enhancements as needed
  • Documentation and Compliance
    • Update and manage team and project documentation, including implementation/configuration checklists, diagrams, and disaster recovery plans, as well as storage areas and supplies
  • Incident Management and Change Control
    • Adhere to established procedures for incident management, problem resolution, and Change Management, ensuring System Administrators are informed about system changes that could affect backups or monitoring
  • Project Management
    • Complete all assigned projects within the set timelines, keeping IT leadership updated on progress and any obstacles encountered
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or technical certificate plus five or more years of related experience and/or training
  • Technical Skills
    • Extensive working experience with VMware
    • Extensive working experience with Intune
    • Certification as an MCTS, or MCSE/MCITP
    • Knowledge of ITIL Foundation a plus
    • Solid knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, TCP/IP and DNS
    • Solid understanding of desktop, laptop/mobile and server technologies and how they interact
    • Solid knowledge and experience with Windows 11 & Windows Server 2016 and up installation and support
    • Solid Microsoft Exchange support and administration experience for a currently supported version of Exchange
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Lync and SharePoint Preferred
    • Working knowledge of server virtualization technologies
